Hope for Pitt Hopkins

Mason was born a healthy baby on July 7, 2021. When he failed to meet some of his developmental milestones, the doctor recommended genetic testing.  Mason was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome (PTHS) in October of 2022.  PTHS affects Mason in the following ways: low muscle tone, breathing issues, cognitive impairment, constipation and lack of speech. This condition will present a lifelong battle with many obstacles.

Despite his many challenges, Mason finds the joy in life and keeps a smile on his face.  His laugh is contagious and will light up your world; he makes us appreciate the small things.  He enjoys listening to music, dancing, splashing water and the outdoors.  Mason has made great strides with the help of his wonderful therapists and grandma pushing him to do better every day.  He is now crawling, sometimes pulling to stand, starting to feed himself and exploring his surroundings. It takes much more practice, repetition and patience than most kids but Mason is determined and persistent. He is our superhero!

Mason has a long way to go but he will get there with the love and support of his family, friends and community. Please join us at New Realm Brewing Co. to support Mason and to help raise funds for the Pitt Hopkins Foundation. Event details are below.
